What every dog needs!
I could spend hours reading articles or ads about what my dog needs and why. Honestly, he is happy with an old stuffed animal and a daily walk. Yet I cannot stop buying things for him, especially since my sister moved out and I haven’t had anyone to tell me no. Recently I have noticed that on our walks he gets extremely hot because of the weather. This was one of my main issues, as well as his nails getting too long in between grooming appointments. When summer came around, I moved into a new apartment and there is the tall grassy field across the street. My dog cannot get enough of jumping and running around in it. Which of course leads to his allergies acting up!
Everything I’ve bought:
Recently my dog, Scout, has been scratching up a storm and relentlessly rubbing his body on the carpet. I found some hydrocortisone itch relief spray and have been using it ever since. I also was able to find some allergy chews that help with his itchy ears and runny eyes. He is an older pup so he has some other issues with his hips and joints. Once again, I took to the internet and found some joint pain chews that have worked wonders for him. Of course, I have a job and he spends a couple of hours a day alone usually. I got him a fresh pack of bones that take him about an hour to get through. He is a lab mix and I am not sure if that breed just loves ducks or what, but that’s his favorite toy.
Dog needs versus my needs:
How many of us are allergic to dogs but still chose to have one? You can’t see me but I am definitely raising my hand! We all love our furry little friend but I can’t have him in my bed otherwise I itch all night. He needed a nice comfy bed because even though I discourage it, he still sleeps in my bed all day when I am gone. He also sheds a lot, meaning that I can’t sit on our couch without getting up covered in dog hair! I needed a couch cover and a lint roller ASAP. I also totally use the lint rollers to try and get any loose hair coming off my dog and he loves it!
