Rollin’ to class

Alright Y’all, we all know getting from your Psych class to your Bio class ON THE OTHER SIDE OF CAMPUS in under 15 mins is the ultimate struggle. So imagine me, in my leggings and Birkenstocks (great for everything besides booking it to class) sweating in 100 degree weather trying to power walk to class. After doing that a few times, you’d be as fed up as I was and looking for a faster route. And I found one, with a stylish twist of course.

Now, instead of getting one of those oh so BASIC scooters or a longboard that you see everyone around campus with, (my balance honestly wouldn’t allow for it)  let me ask you this, have you ever been to a Sonic drive in before? If you have, then you know that the servers come outside in some kickass roller skates. My cherry limeade slush is rolled out by a brilliant slushy genius, AND THAT, got me thinking.

I, as many of you,  learned how to roller skate when I was just a wee lassie, thanks to a local old school roller rink. I’m talking the classic 2 by 2, no chance of losing your balance, with brakes in the front AND back, the original roller skates. Now, if you aren’t vertically challenged like me than hey, show off your skills in some roller blades. For me, it was the OG all the way.

I wanted a pair of fashionable and reliable skates to get me to and from my classes that didn’t dip into my very miniscule savings account. I went on Amazon and found a pair of pink and blue skates that are currently under $40 and I absolutely love them. I’ve had them for over a year now and they are still in just as good of shape as when I bought them. To help keep your skates pristine any tote bag will do. The biggest plus for me though? I don’t have to worry about walking into class 1 minute before it starts sweating like a nun who just walked into a cucumber farm.
